Will the person know I searched their email address?
No. PeopleLooker states this plainly on their own site:
“Your search is 100% private. Your search subject will never know you looked up their email address.”
Nothing is sent to the address you enter. It is used to look up records, not to contact anyone.
What does it cost, and does it renew by itself?
Running the search costs nothing and you can see whether the address matched. Reading the full report requires a PeopleLooker membership. Their published prices, checked on 20 September 2026:

Is there a free version?
The search itself is free and tells you whether there is a match. The report behind it is not. PeopleLooker explains why: public records are not necessarily free, because the bulk data they are compiled from has to be bought.
Any site promising a complete free report on an email address is either showing you a teaser or selling something else.

What can I legally use a report for?
Personal safety and peace of mind. You may not use it to decide whether to hire someone, rent to someone, or extend credit or insurance. Those uses are regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and this is not a consumer report.
What if nothing comes back?
It happens, and it is worth knowing in advance. A sparse result is itself information: an address with no history behind it is usually one that was created recently.
